Hi

I have been agonizing over this for a bit now. Since the P35 doesn't have pcie2 and the nv gtx460 is running at pcie2, how much of a hit in performance with respect to 3D gaming and apps supporting cuda am I going to take, would it be equivalent to the 50% increase in bandwidth on the lanes or less or more... would I see a signigicant performance increase if I where to upgrade the mobo to P45...

Thanks

J

The performance hit is so negligible it can barely be measured.

Would like to see some numbers if you have, of a p35 vs p45 with pcei2 gc running, wouldn't seem to me that an increase in bandwidth to spec 2.0 would have been needed if there are no actual changes to performance.

Take it with a grain of salt, but I have both that motherboard and card. I get the same GPU score on 3DMark Vantage as a GTX 470 with my overclocked GTX 460 (850/2000), so I'd say the hit is minimal.

the 460 isn't going to saturate your pci lane. will there be a performance hit... yes btu it'll be so small you'd have to run benchmarks to see it, in gameplay you won't "feel" a difference in gameplay
