Community,

I'm giving serious consideration to upgrading my video card. Here is my current set up.

I'm currently running a EVGA GTX 275 FTW (the sweetspot of the summer of 2009!)

My power supply is the Corsair 850TX.

My motherboard is the Gigabyte EX58-UD4P. 3 PCI 2.0 slots, two at x16 and one at x8.

The less important stats are the Core i7 920 CPU and 12 gigs of OCZ DDR3 but I've provided them incase they might factor somehow.

I'm considering going SLI GTX 550Ti's.

I know my power supply can handle the 550's in SLI without much problem. Obviously the 550's would reside in the two x16 slots. My real question is could my power supply also push the 275 if I tried to keep it in service in the x8 slot used as a dedicated PhysX card? Is the 275 in that dedicated position even likely to be superior to what the 550's would provide?

Your opinions are greatly appreciated.
