Bsod irql not less or equal microsoft windows xp

Hello,
just reinstalled xp and drivers now I get irql not less or equal or driver irql not less or equal when trying to play video games

Three things it could be:

1: Something within a driver is causing RAM to be corrupted [not likely]
2: IRQ's not properly set [not likely as of XP]
3: Bad RAM [probable cause]

Run memtest86 and check your memory.

I ran memtest 86 which didn't find any problems , it has service pkt 2 xp home It has 2 1GB sticks and 2 256 sticks of memory also games have error messages or minimize to the task bar or turn to a black screen when playing off the dvd drive but at other times the games run okay

Sounds like a RAM related problem to me. Could be that the two non-matched pairs of RAM are somehow in conflict; try with just the 1GB sticks.

I will try with just the 2 sticks of 1 GB ram the 2 sticks of 256 mb are the oldest did I mention that the language bar gets reappearing in the taskbar although I uncheck it before shutting the machine down but it reappears when I turn it back on also I turned it on and got a message saying low power
