Hello, I have an Acer Aspire One PC with windows XP. I want to use it in a part of the house where the wifi signal is weak so i thought that I could use my DWL &£)AP in Client mode to pcik up the signal in the room where it's strongest and then connect in the PC to it via a cable.
I have gone through the instructions for Client mode given by Dlink and when I type the http://192.168.0.30 address into internet explorer I get a 'cannot display webpage error'.
I have disabled the wireless adaptor on the PC and have tried the reset while powering procedure. Putting 192.168.1.30 in the address line also has no effect.
This is an area where I struggle technically, so would be grateful for any help.
