New Vegas GTX 470 lag

Hi, im wondering if anyone knows any solutions to having low fps in new vegas. My GPU is not underclocking and im getting fps drops randomly. It is also very bad when I get to an area where it such as in the waste land where I have to load more of the terrain I get a big fps drop then it will shoot back up to 60. This has made my game unplayable and yes I have tried the modded dll.

go to this site and get the d3d9dll dll and put it in the main new vegas folder (inside steam)

its not really a long term fix but it did triple my fps on my 8600gt

This is why I won't buy the game as you are far from alone in your complaints about this game and how it performs. There are numerous software bugs that hinder normal gameplay as well performance. It is safe to say that the game is broken and that you may have to wait till either a new driver compensates for this or a patch/mod that fixes this. It is like Gothic 3 all over again and it took year before third party patches fixed many of the problems so just sit back and wait there will be plenty of third party mods that will help with the problems.
