More about computer recycled parts
  1. That SE GTX 460 is a cut down 288sp (not 336) and performs worse than a 768M GTX 460 IIRC so i would rather cut down from a pricey 890GX and hit either a single PCIex16 870 or a CFable Asrock 870 Extreme3 and hit the HD 6850 or if CUDA is a must the 1GB/256bit GTX 460?
  2. Okay, I concede your point on the 460 SE. If I stick with nVidia, then sli and crossfire doesn't matter much. Then Do i need the 870 or 880G?
  3. Note: Not many new AMD chipset boards are SLI capable......

I'd try hard to scrounge enough for a 1 GB GTX460....very solid card.
  4. any advice on a 460 gtx. i have about $240 to spend on a evga, asus or msi
  5. i found out the power supply is a bfg 650 watt PSU. should i get new one?
  6. If u do not require CUDA i'd have a serious long look at the more efficient HD 6850 actually

  7. I have almost always used nVidia cards. After some research, I'm not sure what advantages CUDA or fold (?) or PhysX does me. My favorite game is the Civilization series. I also play DDOnline. I do internet gaming some, online research, that sort of thing.

However, the 6870 does interest me.
