Ms 6577 ver 3 1 compatible motherboards

Hello,
I want to ask, that my COMPAQ PC having Hp MS 6577 ver 3.1 Main Board , Two 256 MB RAM, and Western digital Harddisk, i got problem that when i use this harddisk with Asus board, windows get corrupted badly is there any compatibility issue, plz tell, and now i want to change my HP Mother Board for display problem Can u tell me which board is much compatible in Compaq PC for P4 2.6 Ghz ( With Pin ) processor.
