My motherboard has died and I need a replacement.

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01738802&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=3970023 - this is my current system

http://usa.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_AM3/M4A78LTM/#specifications - this is the replacement motherboard I was looking at purchasing.

Will this motherboard be compatible with my system? If not can anyone recommend something more suitable? Thanks.

The asus will work fine, but you'll need a new windows coa if you're still using the original windows installation that came with your system. I would also change out the power supply at the same time. That hp board isn't that old, so the ps may have taken out the board. I recommend either antec or corsair 500 watt units.
