Hi.

I've got a 3 or 4 year old PSU by Antec called an "Earthwatt" I believe and his has "80" or something standard stamped on it. It's a 500watt one. Is this ok, to tranfer to my new Antec 300 case I'll be getting for my new Win 7 build? I'm not gonna fry something because it's old am I?

thanks :)

It is probably the Antec EarthWatts EA-500 model made by Seasonic and recently discontinued and replaced by the EA-500D made by Delta Electronics.

It should have a maximum load current on the combined +12 Volt rails of 34 Amps.

You haven't provided the specifications of the other components in your system so there is insufficient information to determine whether or not that power supply unit is adequate.

I'm gonna have an i5 2500k, ASUS P8P67 vanilla board, and a NVIDIA 9600 GT 512 MB card.

This looks just like it:
