Will i need to upgrade my motherboard

hello i want to ask wheather i will need to upgrade my mohterboard in order to upgrade to a i7920 or a i7930 my current motherboard is GIGABYTE S-series motherboard the GA_945GCM-S2L/S2C

Here are your options:
1.If you wait for a few weeks for Sandy Bridge:
Core i5 2500K, a P67 motherboard from ASUS or Gigabyte, 4 GB DDR3 RAM, GTX 460, a good PSU like Antec/Corsair,new Case, Intel X-25 M G2 120 GB SSD should fit within 50000-52000 rupees.And you musthave 64 bit OS to take advantage of 4GB RAM.

2.If you don't like to wait, replace the 2500K and the P67 motherboard with the i5 760 and a P55 motherboard and it should still be within your budget.

Short answer yes.

Your board is socket 775, the most recent sockets are s1156 and s1366. The new socket releasing now is for Sandy Bridge and that's s1155. In a few months there will be yet another socket for Sandy Bridge that is s2011.
