Down to business. I currently have this kit of ram installed. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231460
I was planning to order another set since my friend paid me to fix his computer. It's out of stock.
Can I buy this kit of ram and still get a good amount of power? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231455 My motherboard does what it needs to do and converts it to 1600 for me. Checked bios. Also, will that kit be compatible with a AMD Phenom II x6 1100t? It says Llano platforms so I believe it will..?

for starters I don't know what you mean by "good amount of power"? yes they will probably work together. its says llano because llanos memory controller runs at 1866MHz. your CPU runs the memory controller at 1333MHz but they will usually handle 1600MHz. there's really no need or reason to buy 1866 memory for a Phenom 2 unless you are planning on upgrading to bulldozer. you can probably lower the timings if you haven't though since its running slower than it was tested

is there some reason you need 16 gigs of memory? it is of course your money but unless your doing something beyond gaming its unnecessary

I generally do multitasking. I will be making videos in the future. Doing stuff such as recording, editing a little, gaming, multitasking like running skype, using youtube and stuff like audio editors, gaming, and lots of stuff. I just want an extra 8 gigs just since I have extra money. I don't want many games so I'll choose to possibly buy ram.
