Long time listener, first time caller.
After the weeks of busy christmas period, I got round to building the following today;
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 580
Intel Core i7-950
Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD5
Corsair CMT6GX3M3A2000C8 Dominator GT 6GB
OCZ 60GB Agility 2E SSD 2.5" SATA-II
Plus case, bluray, PSU etc.
Only problem is that there is no video output from either of the DVI slots
The computer doesn't reset and the LED error block on the mboard just says 88, which isn't even in the manual.
I tried connecting my old nvidia 6600 (which is running perfectly in my old computer) and got the same result.
I've also tried changing the 580 between PCI-E slots with the same effect.
So I'm assuming the graphics card is fine.
I've even used an antistatic wristband
So here are my noobish questions;
Is there anything I can do to fix it?
Is it right to assume the mboard is faulty, or could the RAM be to blame?
Anyone else had a problem with this combo?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Edit: Forget to mention two points;
* I've tried starting with one stick of ram, but no effect. I tried it in each of the slots.
* I've put in the mboard speaker but no errors come up!
Is there a way to check whether the board or processor is to blame?
