hi,

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/320230-28-best-core2quad-processor-digital-photography

as in the above link he need a z68 mobo price between $100 to $170 choices are

1)Good Overclocker
2)Uefi bios
3)Onboard vga,dvi or hdmi any one of these three is must.
4)No need of sli or crossfire
5)brand is not a question but if it from asus it would be deliteful
6)atleast 1 sata 3gbs and 1 pci x16 2.0 or better
7)USB 3.0 would be cherry on a pie. so it is not important
8)No gaminig absolutley,
9) No need of SSD

these are his requirements so any one can suggest any decent mobo between that price tag for i5-2500k. and I missed anything else!!

Every answer is a diamond for him. thanks in advance.

and one more thing I am asking a lga 1155 board.

Cheap MOBO + SB (K) isn't the best idea if the 'plan' is to OC.

Here's a few to consider, and all of them are the minimum for SB (K) + Z68 -> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007627%20600093976&IsNodeId=1&bop=And&CompareItemList=280%7C13-131-790%5Eicn_ironegg_overlay%23%2C13-128-507%5E13-128-507-TS%2C13-128-506%5E13-128-506-TS%2C13-128-498%5E13-128-498-TS%2C13-131-792%5E13-131-792-TS

While I appreciate budgets I appreciate more good decisions, and if it were me I'd choose the ASUS P8Z68-V PRO (or GEN3) versions.

maxi list
iirc gigabyte doesn't have uefi like asus. you should web search your chosen motherboard's reviews.
recommendations are based on price.

depends on what you mean by performance.
the h6x boards don't allow cpu overclocking. h61 supports less usb ports. h61 also lacks raid support. h61 has 6 secondary pcie 2 lanes, h67 has 8, so does z68. h61 supports up to 2 ddr3 slots, h67 and z68 support up to 4. h6x don't usually support cfx/sli. h6x boards let user use the igpu and allow igpu oc. h61 motherboards usually have micro atx form factor. most of h67 motherboards have micro atx too, some of them have atx form factor. they're good for entry level, non oc, single gfx card setups. imo most h6x motherboards perform similarly.
z68 chipset supports all the sb features - igpu, igpu oc, full ram slot support, dual x8 cfx/sli, raid, ssd caching, 2 more secondary pcie 2 lanes than h61. z68 allows cpu oc. z68 motherboards with pcie 3.0 capability are more available.
