256MB DDR AGP vs. 128MB DDR2 AGP

I am consider putting in a GeForce FX 5500 256MB 128-bit DDR AGP 4X/8X Video Card or a ATI Radeon 9200 128 MB Pro AGP video card in my older system.

I am wondering whether a video card using DDR with higher memory is better than a video card using DDR2 with lower memory.
Or is the DDR2 video card still better?

Thank you!

A new PC.

But between those two, i think the fx5500 would be marginally better

Though the FX series cards have shader implementation problems (Nvidia "tweaked" the shaders to get better scores on some benches and it caused them to have problems with the actual implemented shaders that can cause problems in some games etc.)

Does that mean I should go with the Fx5500?

Didn't know that, if so then you should just go with the 9200pro
