Hello,

I bought a new PSU today as I wanted to upgrade for a new GPU. However when I install the new PSU the fans come on, but nothing else.

I replaced with the old PSU and it works fine. I am looking for suggestions for what kind of PSU I need

Thanks!

Okay. Did you plug in your eps cable? 465 watts should be fine with an 8800. Personally, I never run a seperate gpu without 500 minimum but for what you have the 465 should be fine. The eps is the 4 or 8 pin that plugs into your motherboard. If you have iit plugged in and you are getting nothing but fans the psu is bad and you should return it.
