Gtx 460 1gb vs 6850

Hey Guys I'm looking to buy a new video card and I'm stuck between these 2 choices.I don't have a lot of money so I m on a budget,I wanna be able to play crysis,metro and etc without any hassle,So which card do I choose?




Here are my specs
C2Q Q8400
Gigabyte G31m Es2c Mobo
4 gb ram
9800gt(broken) Thats why i need to buy a new graphics card btw
550 watt corsair psu
1280x1024 res Monitor(I m not planning to change the monitor btw)

The standard 460s are slightly slower, the factory overclocked 460s are on par or slightly better than the 6850, it really depends on which 460. However the 6850 is cooler, has a lower consumption and it overclocks very well.

Both are kinda overkill for your resolution, IMO a HD 5770 should do.

Nah nothing is overkill for me I dont wanna play a game thats under 60 fps Hehe

Btw the 460gtx models that I'm planning to buiy are the palit ,Inno3d,and evga overclocked models and for the 6850 it doesn't arrive here till Christmas so I can still wait.

Well, no matter what card (HD5770 or HD6850), you still play constant 60fps at 1280x1024... So, if you aren't on plan to buy bigger monitor then just choose the cheaper one, in this case HD5770...

Actually dude both cards are at the same price at $170-$190 so its obvious to get 6850 since its about the same price.I know I wont be to constantly holding at 60 fps,(well maybe for games like dirt 2 and starcraft 2)but in games like metro and crysis it'll probably be limited to 20-30 fps so its at the bare minimum of of what i can tolerate.I played those games with my 9800 gt before it broke and it become a slide show with only 10-22 fps So what faster the 460gtx or 6850.Personally I'd like to change to the ati one since I've only been able to use nvidia cards.plus i hate the logo for the palit verson of 460 gtx.(the cyberfrog thing is really not cool).As opposed to xfx really cool looking card design.
