Hi all. The time has FINALLY come to build a new computer. My beast is old old old and my wife has finally gave me the go-ahead on a new rig. I haven't played a game in years and I can't wait to get back into it. Please check this over and tell me what you think. It's basically a modified THG Dec $500 gamer build.

I want to try and unlock the 4th core in the X3. I don't intent to do much overclocking beyond what has been proven to work. Do I need the aftermarket cooler for this system? I don't intent to overclock much, longevity is a big thing for me. Also, can I get away with the GTX 460 768MB instead of the 1GB? I'm not sure what's really needed for games. All comments will be greatly appreciated.

Just as food for thought.....Newegg has 5870 gpu on sale for $239 after rebate? Good card, rivals GTX480/570 in most games!

tri core is fine, if cant find reasonably clocked quad core for good price....
