Cpu/motherboard exchange

Hello everyone i recently just bought a AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition and MSI 870-G45 AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard my friend wanted to upgrade his computer and i told him i would sell him these that i just bought i was wonder if its worth it to buy this Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) and MSI P67A-C43 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard or just stick with what i got? He was going to buy it off me for 200$ meaning i would have to pay an extra 150$ to upgrade to the sandy bridge is it worth it or no?

That depends on your uses, for gaming the video card is much more important than the CPU. The 2500K is faster overall but a 955 + a better video card (due to cheaper cost for the CPU/mobo) is faster in gaming.

The i5 is worth it's price vs it's performance. But only you know if you need more CPU power for what your uses are.
