I have an Antec 300 Illusion Mid Tower.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...]

I am trying to install this hard drive to it.

SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD502HJ 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...]

The instructions that come with the case have been no help at all.

(On a related side note, what the hell is a "bezel"?)

Thanks!

Use the screws that came with the case

A bezel is the nice looking plastic on the outside of the dvd drive, card reader weird unnecessary word

I'm terrible at Scrabble and make a point of never playing it so I don't embarrass myself, I prefer Blokus, Chess, and Monoply

Suggest looking at page 3 of your manual:

http://www.antec.com/pdf/manuals/300_EN%20manual.pdf

3.5” Hard Drive Installation

1. Remove both side panels and front bezel per the instructions in Setting Up.
2. There are two 120 mm fan cages at the front. Each fan cage covers 3 HDD bays and is
fastened by two thumbscrews.
3. Loosen the two thumbscrews. Swing open the fan cage and gently lift upwards to
remove it. Up to six hard drives total can be installed.
4. Slide a hard disk into a bay from the front of the case.
5. Fasten the drive in place using the thumbscrews that came with the case.
6. Connect the appropriate power and interface connectors from the power supply and
motherboard to the device.
7. Repeat the procedure for additional drives as necessary.
8. Put the front fan cages back to the case. If you plan to mount the optional 120 mm
case fans, you should do it now. See Cooling section for fan installation.

I checked the manual (Which was where I got the word "bezel"). I for some reason had an extreme amount of trouble truning the hard drive around to make it fit in the slot... After finally getting it installed I found that my PSU did not work with the rest of my computer... any suggestions for me?

Thanks, I was hoping to get a bit better PSU though, I plan on upgrading the rest of the computer as soon as I have the money for it... Bank of America screwed me over right before I went to buy some of the stuff so a lot of what I wanted I couldn't get.

How can you tell if your PSU will work with the rest of your computer?

Thermaltake 600-WATT TR2 was the one I bought last time and it didn't work...

Standard ATX PSU it has all the connectors that a modern system needs and looking at your motherboard it is compatible. Do not know with your TT could have been faulty?

I don't think I connected it wrong, and I tried another PSU which worked. I was worried I wouldn't be able to return either... I think BestBuy will except a trade in though. If it does then I guess I don't need any more help, but if it doesn't I'll post agin in a couple of days. Thanks Rolli!

(And Joel for the definition)
