Gtx 580-Impressions

So the new gtx 580 is out .What's your view on it?Do you think it is good value or have you placed your bets on the new 69xx series?

My take on it:

The gtx 580 is just a way to overshadow amd's new gpus.It makes little to no sense buying one at the moment as new offers are just around the corner.This would have been a great product if it was released when the gtx 480 did.The only people who might benefit from this would be folders but if they can afford it they probably already have a gtx 480 or 3 for that.Another fail from Nvidia

if its price drop below $500 I will consider to buy one to replace my 460. somehow current retainer price is higher than manufacture suggested price $499. I guess retainers just want to make big profit by selling this card these days.
