I'll finally be building a gaming pc soon as I've waited patiently for Sandy Bridge. Below is my current build. I'd like ideas on how to lower the price without touching the CPU, GPU and if possible the PSU, although If necessary I'd be willing to change the PSU. I would like it to at least be capable of handling 2 570s in SLI. My goal is to shave money off of this build in whatever ways I can seeing as I will still have to fit in a mouse and keyboard. I would like to get my final price with shipping below 1500 without the mouse and keyboard and $1400 would be ideal. Thanks in advance for your help everyone.

Hmm why i5 instead i7. Price for performance in gaming most benchmarks so far but the 2500k ahead of the 2600k. HT has no performance increase at all on games. For the extra what is it like 105$ its not worth it at all when he can throw the extra money into a better or another GPU or anything else he might need

well i suggested the i7 bcoz its scores high in cpu dependent games and its higher clockspeed gives an extra edge.well what gpu upgrade he can get for 100$.the next upgrade gtx 580 costs about 170$-200$ more and the i7 is more futureproof.but as u said still this wont satisfy the price difference of 100$.i edited the post as per ur info.thnx

From all the charts, reviews, and benchmarks I've seen the Game performance between i5 2500K and the i7 2600K is small. For me 5-10 more FPS isnt enough for me to spend 100 more bucks on the i7 2600K. Buying 2 cheaper Graphics card for SLI/Crossfire instead is the way to go. 2 470s vastly outpaces single GTX 5xx cards.
