what do you guys think of the Antec BP550 Plus 550W. My system is as follows:

amd athlon x4 640
gigabyte 880g ud3h
sabrent media card reader
pny geforce gt 220
ocz agility 2 60gb
1tb caviar black
4gb gskill memory (1333)

should be fine - the 220 needs little power.

its solid enough for the price and more then enough power for your system, both the athlon II and GT 220 are thrifty when it comes to power needs.

Yes you're good with the BP550.
A good psu as already mentioned.
