The difference between some gtx 460's

I am fairly new to the computer build community, so there are some things I dont quite understand yet. For example, I want to run a EVGA GTX 460 768MB 192 bit for my graphics needs, but I am wondering if it would be worth it.. say $40 ish worth it to get a different brand card with GTX 460 1GB 256bit.

Is it worth it to make the upgrade?

What are some reliable brand cards across the community?

Ideally I'd like to stick with the GTX 460 because my 25" monitor needs some heavy lifting, but I'm not real clear how much of a role the amount of memory plays in logistics.

If you are playing at 1080p or higher resolutions,then yes its worth the extra $40 because the extra memory makes a noticeable difference in high resolutions.

I would get the 1GB version too, for the added bandwidth.

Yes its worth the extra, the 768mb can hold you back when playing demanding games at 1920x1080.
