Problems upgrading CPU

Have an HP system A6756UK ( http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01638226&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=3876674&query=a6756uk&tool= ) which according to these specs should accept a 9850 processor.

I have placed a hd9850xaj4bgh processor into the board and I get an error message telling me that the processor is not supported.

Can anyone point me to a solution for this issue - has me totally flummoxed and with a 9850 CPU that appears to be of no use to me

From the HP website, it seems that your PC should support it. Does your system boot up at all? I'd contact HP and see if they can help.
