Decent Gaming Computer For $800

Hi guys. I'm new to building and I wanted to build a gaming computer. Any help would be appreciated.

Approximate Purchase Date: 2 weeks

Budget Range: $800

System Usage: Gaming

Parts Not Required: Mouse

Preferred Website for Parts: newegg

Country of Origin: US

Parts Preferences: none

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: most compatable

Monitor Resolution: 1280x1024

Additional Comments: quiet, easily maintainable, upgradeable.

Edit: Whoops, forgot dvd burner...If you can stretch another $70 this will give you great expandability for the money.



But you could definitely do it for under $800 with an amd build.

I just bought a refurb dell inspiron 570 mt with an athlon 2 x4 630, 6 gigs of ram, dvd burnder, multi card reader, and windows 7 premium 64 from cedardpc.com for $359 with shipping. Pair that with a larger video card (say a Radeon HD 6850 $180) and a larger PSU for another $75 and you can in at around $620. It won't be top end mind you, but it should be able to play just aobut anything you can throw at it. The limitation is that this particular model only comes with one video card slot (pcie X16) so you can't sli for spectaular performance but it will still be a pretty solid system on the cheap. (The highest performance game I play is Oblivion right now, but this is what I intent to do with mine).
