Swapping used memory?

i have 2 somewhat old computers, both were broken but got my dell e520 running. other one is a hp pavilion a6000 and currently isnt working, so im considering taking the memory from it and adding to my dell. so my question, 1 is the memory compatible, 2 can the dell handle it, 3 would i have to wipe the memory out somehow

If it is the same type memory it should not be any problem. Ram is empty as soon as it looses power so no wiping needed.
Both use DDR2 ram and the Dell has 4 slots so it should work.
