Sound card for netserver lc2000

I have a net server lc 2000 i an using for my home pc can i install a sound card . If so what kind do i need to get and will it just plug in or is it going to be more complicated than that?

Ouch thats old, what OS are you running on that!

It will be possible, but a little complicated OS dependant!

Drivers for whatever sound card you get (I am thinking second hand here) are going to be the real issue!

Any PCI sound card will fit as you have 4 x 32-bit standard PCI expansion slots.

If you also want a bit more videomuscle, look for PCI based nVidia GeForce 9500 GT or ATI 2400 PCI. You could also use 64-bit PCI then go Matrox Parhelia PCI.

Should be available 2nd hand.
