Hello all. I recently built a system with a X4 970. When I go into the bios it shows that I have 6 cores. 4 enabled and 2 disabled. I tried unlocking them but my system doesn't seem to recognize them. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with these. Is it worth keeping them unlocked, or If I increase my voltage would I get a 6 core?

As the processor name states: It's an x4 part, therefore it has 4 cores. The 970 comes from the x6 1000+ processors with (probably) faulty cores, so it has 2 disabled. Physically, the processor has components for 6 cores, but only 4 of those are active. Increasing voltage will do nothing to help.
