Sup guys, I'm looking to buy a new PC soon for about €1000-1200.. I wanna run recent releases (Battlefield: Bad Company 2; Medal of Honor; Aliens vs. Predator; Metro 2033; Lost Planet 2; Starcraft 2; Just Cause 2; Etc.) and upcoming releases (Crysis 2; Battlefield 3; Rift: Planes of Telara; Mass Effect 3; Dead Space 2; DragonAge2; Etc.) on highest settings with a decent FPS ~60-100 , on a resolution of 2048 x 1152 (Samsung SyncMaster 2343NW). I know it's an unusual resolution so i was wondering, does it affect the performance much?

This is what I had in mind.. (For the people that understand Dutch, I picked this hardware at http://www.tones.be/shop_onderdelen.php)

CPU - INTEL CORE i7 950 (http://www.tones.be/shop_product.php?idx=106715)

MOTHERBOARD - ASUS P6X58D-E (http://www.tones.be/shop_product.php?idx=108964)

RAM - CORSAIR 6GB DDR3 1600Mhz Tripple Channel (http://www.tones.be/shop_product.php?idx=107794)

GPU - Either 2x AMD Radeon HD 6850 1GB (http://www.tones.be/shop_product.php?idx=109537 ) in Crossfire or 1x AMD Radeon HD 6970 2GB (http://www.tones.be/shop_product.php?idx=109680)

PSU - CORSAIR TX850W http://www.tones.be/shop_product.php?idx=106391)

I have no need to upgrade my Hard Drives.

As for the GPU's, according to this http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-hd-6970-radeon-hd-6950-cayman,2818-12.html and this http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-recommendation-upgrade,2803-5.html, the AMD Radeon HD 6850 in Crossfire performs better than a single AMD Radeon HD 6970. Two 6850's cost as much as a single 6970 so probaly the 6850's will be a better choice?

I also wonder, will this all fit into a "ANTEC Nine Hundred Two Ultimate Gamer Case" and won't it cause overheating or anything?

Trying to go for best price/performance but I'd rather not go above €1200.

If anyone could help me/give me advice, or knows a good build I'd appreciate that very very much.

Thank you very much in advance guys! ;)

Is there any reason you're not looking at an i7-2600k?

Nope, not really.. I guess I just missed it xD. It's the new Intel 2011 Sandy Bridge line up, didn't know Tones had those already.. I'm gonna go with that one in that case.

Thanks.

It's socket 1155 and the motherboards of that line have only 1x PCI-e 2.0 16x (example ]http://www.tones.be/shop_product.php?idx=109769]) but don't I need 2x PCI-e 2.0 16x for my Crossfire AMD Radeon HD 6850's?
