  1. GTX460-(1 gb) is a nice performing card for $150-$160...possibly 110 UKP, + VAT; if budget affords, next big jump is GTX570, although pricey at $360 US compared to $300 for simlilary performing AMD 6950 (easily reflashed to 6970, rivaling GTX580!)

    Quad core X4 Phenom near 3 Ghz (skip the 6 cores, not really used for gaming), and 890 chipset mb....
