Max safe vcore/temp i7 2600k?

Ok, so last night I got serious about finding the limits of my cpu. I changed the multiplier to 50 and the BCLK to 100 (my previous setup was 103x44) and ran IBT at high stress. Quickly my vcore shot up to 1.48 and my temps approached 90C before I shut down the test after just a couple of runs (this is with my Hyper 212+). I then decided that I should focus on finding a safe but fast OC for constant use. I settled on a multiplier of 46 and a BCLK of 100 giving me 4600MHz and temps ranging to a high of 73C. The vcore at this OC gets to 1.38V. Is this a safe OC to continue to use? I have run IBT multiple times and passed every one. I'm just making sure that I don't harm my cpu running this OC over time....

1.38v and 73C under stress testing is just about perfect for daily use. You will never hit those temps in real world useage and 1.4 is about as high as I would go with the voltage. I have similar numbers, my temps are a little lower but I have a better cooler. I have not even tried pushing past 4.5 because honestly I do not need to. This thing is blazing fast at that speed and it lets me keep Hyperthreading on. Turning off Hyperthreading should lower temps.

Yeah, my temps after a couple hours of gaming generally only run into the upper 50's.

That voltage and temps are fine for an everyday overclock. I usually advise under 1.4v and under 75ºC, so you're just barely making it on both.

Just to give you something to compare to help with your questions:

This is what I get with my 2600k:

x48 Multiplier x 100 BCLK
@ 1.400v

At 100% stress for a long time my temps are ALWAYS under 65c
But I am using the Noctua NH-d14

Maximum recommened for a 2600k: 65c but anything up to 80c is fine but it may start to shorten the life out of it.
