Number of Pipeline and Stages

Dear All,

I make a comparison between 5 types of Processor Like Intel x5670 & AMD opteron 61QS & Intel® Core™ i3-540 Processor & others i will choose it, but the problem is that i must get ( no. of pipeline units in parallel & no. of stages in each pipeline unit) i search about this information but no way.

if you have the information or the way to get it , thanks

The X5670 and i3-540 are both four-issue processors with 16-stage pipelines. The Opteron 61QS is a three-issue processor with 12 pipeline stages. Wikipedia has a good amount of information about the CPUs' microarchitecture- the X5670 and i3-540 both use the "Nehalem" microarchitecture, and the Opteron 61QS uses the "Stars" (also called "K10") microarchitecture.
