10 cores...20 threads (Xeon)

Just caught this story on Engadget about Intel releasing their E7 line of Xeon processors. Of course, these are more network-mass data oriented chips, but impressive none the less. Pricing isn't as bad as I thought it would be at $774 at the low end, but a hefty $4600+ for the high end chip.

Too bad these are server chips. Meaning that they won't run Crysis.

Actually they will, since they're x86 CPUs, but at over $4K a pop, why would you want to??

This is for high computational / large database application. It will run all exisitng games but $4K.... I will spend it on something else
