Sub-1K AMD X6 build help...
Hello to all. I've been wanting to invest in a desktop for some time now and today I visited newegg.com to create a system from scratch.
Keeping the build under the 1k price point is not so difficult it seems nowadays. The main function of the build will be to serve as a video editing/photo editing workhorse, hence the AMD Phenom II x6 1055T Thuban CPU. I will play games on the machine from time to time, but that is not the purpose of this build. I already have a display unit.
Attached is my shopping list for the build and I would definitely like any feedback/guidance you can provide.
What's missing from this build:
A high fidelity soundcard
More cooling fans?
Dedicated HDD for OS (An SSD?)
My preference is for a quite system. I'm also looking to keep the temperatures down, so a suggestion for a cooling solution would be much appreciated.
