I have put 6GB of ram into my motherboard. All sticks are from Kingmax (800mhz).
slot1 - 2GB
slot2 - 1GB
slot3 - 2GB
slot4 - 1GB
OS (win7) recognizes only 3.5GB.

Do you have a 64-bit or 32-bit Windows?

You need a 64-bit Operating system to utilize more than 3.xGB RAM.

FULL specs might help.

Yes, it sounds like you have a 32-Bit OS installed...
Try booting from a 64-Bit live Linux disk, you should be able to see all 6GB then.

If u are not sure what OS type do u have,

go to Control panel>>>System and than u'll know : )

And yes, x32bit system will not use more than ~ 3GB.
