Hi guys

I appreciate this may not be the correct forum for this question but as I suspect it may be a ram issue I thought here would be the best place to ask.

So my pc posts successfully, loads the "starting windows" screen and plays the animation for a few seconds then freezes about 4 seconds in. My O.S. runs from an SSD and usually boots within 10 seconds (not sure if that's helpful?)

I've tried booting from the win7 CD - same result
Booting with only monitor and PS2 keyboard attached - same result
Trying to launch startup repair - same result
Switching out graphics card to an older one - same result
Switching out the O.S. HDD for an older one - same result

Temps all seem well within spec in UEFI (20-30oc range) so I doubt it's overheating. My only guess would be dud RAM? I had the same problem yesterday and couldn't get the pc to restart using the case reset button so held down power for 6 secs and rebooted, worked fine after that.

My specs are:

RAM: 2X2GB Corsair CMP4GX3M2B1600C8
CPU: core-i5 2500k
Mobo: ASUS Maximus IV Extreme p67
PSU: Corsair TX 950w
GPU: MSI GTX570 twin frozr iii

Any advice would be very welcome
