Graphics card for this PC...

The GPU within it has gone bad, dodgy fan, well known issue apparently, he's going to buy a new one anyway. The budget is £70 and I have come up with this http://www.ebuyer.com/product/179670

I just want to make sure that's a decent choice, especially considering the PSU is only 300w.

Thanks for the suggestion but thats not an option, I need a new GPU only. For a 300w.

actually the power draw on his existing gpu is about the same http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GeForce_9_Series#GeForce_9500_GS
as a 4670.

So would a 240 be ok? According to this it's better than a 4670 http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html although I know that doesnt account for many factors, bt really will the 240 work?

Those cards are neck and neck. For the same wattage and a faster card try a radeon 5670

Actually the GT240 is quite better than the 4670.
Along with a boatload of features. New tech(40mm) CUDA, Physx and all dat crap.

Yea and the 5670 is quite a bit better then the gt240 at the same power draw plus its quieter.
He seems more worried about performance then price.
