with a Phenom II x4 955. it recommends a 95W Cpu but the 955 is a 125w. does it matter? is the board reliable?

The problem is if the board only supports a 95 Watt CPU, and you put a 125 watt in, it will draw more power than the board can safely supply, and you run the risk of overheating and burning up your motherboard.

so which of the other three would you recommend? im really worried about them arriving defective. so reliability is a big thing.

the biostar would be my first pick, however it only shows Ram support up to 1333. So i might consider the Asrock 880GM

If you haven't bought yet, I would say try to find an ASUS M4A88TD-M EVO/USB3.

Amazing board, reliable, and well worth the money.
