I was wondering if somebody could help me out with assembling a computer (mainly the cpu) for 500$... My old CPU is crap... here are the current specs
RAM -- 1 gb ( know this is *** )
Hard-disk memory -- 160 gb [ this is *** too... ]
No graphic card
XP service pack 2 (professional)
IF some person out there could please help me out... i need new components for the PC for under 500 bucks...
this would include
1) a new mother board ( AMD or Intel i don know ...you tell me..)
2) a new graphic card
3) ram memory
4) a good operating system ( i don know which one of these is better VISTA or XP or windows 7)
5) other stuff required for the mother-board and the cpu ( stuff like cooling fan... etc..)
P.S i am a hardcore gamer and love making stuff on ADOBE aftereffects ..so i need a good ram speed and a decent graphic card to play the top-notch games. and dont worry about the hard disk... ill take care of that
and also PLEASE BE A LITTLE SPECIFIC..... CAUSE I GOTTA SHOW THE STUFF YOU WRITE TO MY DAD FOR APPROVAL..... and also write down the prices...
Assuming you are from the USA (since you didn't say), this is what I would build for your uses:
Wait. Ok my next post will write that out for you. You're not being too great at telling us what you do and don't need so instead, just tell us what you don't need. Monitor? Keyboard? Power Supply? If no power supply needed, what do you have now? Will you be keeping your current case.
On a side note, unless you are overclocking significantly, there is no need for aftermarket cooling.
Well, until you answer, here are my ideas: ($505 after MIR)
(note, assumptions: using same case, need new power supply, use same monitor, mouse keyboard and like you said, no hard drive)
Still, I don't see how this is urgent. What's urgent is Joe Doe who's network just went down and he's losing money on his entrepreneurship because of it. Or Frank Smith, who just lost all his college schoolwork on his computer.
