Stock CPU fan and paste

Hi.

Sorry to ask this again, but I just got my parts and am building my new PC. I got the intel i5 2500k CPU and the stock heatsink /fan has 3 strips of gray material on a copper disk on the bottom. I'm assuming this is the stock thermal paste. Am I correct in that I'm safe to just install this as is without applying aftermarket thermal paste? Just want to be sure.

I'm not gonna overclock.

Thanks :)

Yes, just install as is if you are not going to Overclock!

Yep, that's the thermal paste pre-applied on the cooler. You don't need to put aftermarket paste on unless you want to. Good luck building your PC!

update, have you started yet.?

All done! Using the computer now. The only thing I don't like is the loud hard disk. My old Antec case is a "quiet" case and has
special HDD elastic holders. I do have the sides of the tower at the moment though.
