I have the MSI Z68A-GD55 (B3) Motherboard http://www.msi.com/product/mb/Z68A-GD55--B3-.html#/?div=Driver&os=Win7%2064
& have purchased the Cooler Master V6GT CPU Cooler.
My problem is that I have thoughtlessly purchased a Corsair Vengeance which have a very tall heat spreader http://www.corsair.com/vengeance-8gb-dual-channel-ddr3-memory-kit-cmz8gx3m2a1600c8.html
The motherboard's manual specifically states that I should populate the blue RAM slots first. But since I have a big cooler, I want to put my 2x4GB RAM in the farthest RAM slots ( slot3 which is the 2nd Blue & slot 4 which is the 2nd Black ) to give way to the V6GT. I know it will result to a single channel configuration but I do not mind that. What I am concerned about is will it work at all? Have anyone tried it?
Please help. Thanks.
