I had to RMA my OCZ 600W ModXStream Pro, however, OCZ can't replace it. Instead they have offered me a OCZ 780W ModXStream-B. It is a slightly older unit and is re-certified, but still will keep the warranty.

Should I take it? I need to reply to them soon.

Hmm... My old one was a bit more efficient ~86% versus the one I am being offered (only ~80%). What do you mean more outputs, though?

Since your choice is a bigger one or nothing, I'd likely take the former...

To clarify, I could wait--my current one and other current comparable replacements are all out of back-ordered/out of stock right now.

How long did your 600w last, I have the 700w Modxstream pro and have been running it for a year, it isn't the best psu but it hasn't failed yet. I want to know if this thing is a ticking time bomb.

I bought my 600W about 11 months ago. :/  Hopefully it was just mine. I really like how quiet they are--the ModXStream 780W that I have now isn't as quiet (though not loud by any means, either).

I'm considering putting it up on eBay and seeing if anyone bites, and then getting another 600W ModXStream Pro, haha. :)
