Stock Fan ??

I'm building my first system right now and of course the cooler I bought doesn't fit over the RAM. The CPU is a i7 2600K. If I don't overclock it, do you think the stock fan would be sufficient for the time being? I've heard varying comments about the heat this CPU emits.

The stock fan is designed to be used permenantely, of course it will work. They don't supply those things to not be usable.
