Hello Everybody!

My question is: Can I upgrade my graphical card to Nvidia Geforce 8400 GS (512MB, PCI) ?

System:

Motherboard: ABIT AG8-V
GPU: Nvidia Geforce 6600 (256mb , PCI)
Memory: 1.5 GB DDR 1
Processor: Pentium 4
OS: XP SP3

And what about GDDR, DDR, DDR 2, etc. on the graphical cards? Should it match the motherboard's DDR?

Thank you very much in advance!

That's a negative because you don't have a PCI-Express slot on your motherboard and that card is actually a little weaker if not the same strength. You're going to want to buy a geforce 7 series AGP card if you have that slot free. Memory doesn't matter.

Video card memory doesn't matter when compared to system memory. New video cards use GDDR5 and system memory is only at DDR3 on new systems, so that alone should prove you don't need to match them.
