555 v i3-2100?

AMD Phenom II X2 Dual Core 555 3.20GHz Black Edition v Intel Core i3-2100 3.10GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155

So heres the score im building a Micro ATX system purely for web browsing and media including Blu Ray play back, i already have a spare ATI 5450 for the Blu Ray play back, so what im wanting to know is, will the cheaper AMD CPU & setup be as good as the £30 more expensive Sandybridge core i3 setup?

The SB CPU is remarkably faster (see here) while using less power, but with your uses you might never see the difference.

You can probably get away with a cheaper Athlon II chip, and make it a little more worth while to go for AMD.

Sandy is faster but as Raidur said for your uses you can get away with the cheaper alternative.
