Additional Comments:

Here is the spec i have come up with after much research:

Intel Core i7 950 3.06GHz (Bloomfield) (Socket LGA1366)
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP...

Asus X58 Sabertooth TUF Intel X58 (Socket 1366) DDR3 Motherboard
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB...

Corsair Dominator GT 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-16000C8 2000MHz Triple Channel Kit (would consider the 1866MHz, and the 12GB 6x2GB pack split between 2 computers, since i'm building 2 pretty much identical computers.)
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY...

XFX ATI Radeon 6970 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX...

OCZ Vertex 2E 60GB 2.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive ( for a fast OS system)
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD...

Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB SATA-II 16MB Cache
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD...

LG GH22NP20 22x DVD±RW IDE ReWriter (Black)
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CD...

Corsair Hydro H70 High-Performance CPU WaterCooler (Socket LGA775/LGA1155/LGA11
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS...
OR
Something from the Coolmaster V series, V6, V8 or ideally V10 for the extra Ram cooling and the red/black theme matches my case.
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS...

Want to get a sound card in the future, but the built in 7.1 of the Asus Mobo is fine for now.

Coolermaster HAF 922 Case - Black
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA...
OR
Antec Dark Fleet Series DF85 Gaming Enclosure - Black
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA...

I originally wanted an OCZ ModXStream Pro 700w Silent SLI Certified Modular Power Supply
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA...

But calculating the power needs suggested I needed something around 900W so:
Akasa Freedom Power 1000W Modular Power Supply
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA...

I suppose I'm just looking for opinions about these parts to make 2 gaming computers, one for me and my partner. I know things like prices and such can change over 2 months, but still buying as soon as possible. I want to have a decent PSU, Mobo and CPU cooler so I can use them for future upgrades. Is this set-up over the top? I also need a decent monitor if anyone can recommend a good one separate from the budget. Overclockers isn't the cheapest place, but with some seaching about its around £1100.

Thanks for looking.

You're posting on the US site, so it's a bit more difficult for us to make recommendations, as availability and prices in the UK are obviously not going to be the same as they are here.

A few general recommendations though:
- LGA 1366 isn't a good choice right now, go for LGA 1155 (P67 chipset with dual-channel RAM)
- a 6950 should be more than enough for a single monitor at 1920x1200
- get a SATA ODD, unless you have a particular need for IDE
- the Dark Fleet cases are kind of crappy for the money, at least in the US (other Antec and Cooler Master cases are better buys)
- don't buy any CPU coolers if you're not yet sure about OCing; you can always buy one later (also, many air coolers are better than the H70, at lower prices)
- the OCZ is rather cheap for a build like this; go with an Antec TruePower New, an XFX, or a higher-end Corsair (other companies make similar quality PSUs, but you have to search a bit harder for them)

This is the US site? I cant seem to find the UK one, even if i select the UK symbol.

Thanks very much for the help both, I almost missed out on a 2600k! I've looked into it some more after reading your replys and picked out a new spec:

i7 2600k - £270 - ebuyer

G.SKILL RipjawX Series 4GB 1600 £50 - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY...

OcUK ATI Radeon 6950 - £235 - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX...

Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB - £41 - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD...

LG GH22NS50 22x DVD±RW SATA - £17 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CD...

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus - £20 - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS...

Akasa AK-455 Thermal Compound - £2

Coolermaster HAF 922 Case - £80 - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA...

OcUK Battle 850W - 60 - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA...

p67 sabertooth £160 - http://www.cclonline.com/product-info.asp?product_id=65...

£1008 including some fast delivery on OcUK's bits.

I've had to downgrade ram, graphics card and remove the SSD i wanted so much, but have an upgraded CPU, I didn't like most of the P67 boards, they're all blue and i want a red/black themed computer, its abit vain but i'd like the inside to look good like the outside, but seems like theres not many places to get the p67 sabertooth from.

What do you think?

Just read a review on the Asrock P67 Extreme4, and I am converted! I had already linked the ripjawX, but now thanks to you saving me something like £60, I could probably afford 8GB! *does math*.

It comes to a total of £1018, ok so its a tenner more, but double the ram!

Gathered about £850 of the total so far, not long to go now, then I need only help my partner find the money too :p

PS, know a decent cheap monitor and keyboard out of the budget?
