Paint thinner and I think some kind of poison solution was used to cover up cat urine smell. New carpet was placed over this area of a hardwood floor. Is there any kind of cleaner I can use to get rid of this toxic fume? Please help, I have children and pets!

Thank you!

Lift the carpet and try some Anti-Icky-Poo or similiar product with bacteria and enzymes.

If that doesn't do the trick you may have to sand the floor and seal the affected area with a water based urethane floor sealant.

I know you already have responses to your question , but do you realise that this isn't a general "Hardware" site for tools and things. It is a COMPUTER Hardware site discussing CPU's, graphics cards, RAM, Windows and other things along those lines....... generally not cat urine and poison.
