why is the 6870 WEAKER than the 5870??? i understand its quieter nd has a few small lil bonuses but that still doesnt change what the benchmarks say...

Another victim of the AMD numbering scheme/name change. They changed the numbers, so now the 6800 series is the new mid-range. The new high-end will be the 6900 series.

Hehe I understand that they changed it but what good is going to do them by changing it its like the 9800GTX+ to GTS250 did they hope to get a huge sales increase out of the change in name or what lol..... :lol:  K sure enuf when Cayman comes out they going to give some good competion nd Nvidia are bringing a GTX580 cnt w8 :bounce:  .... but they soon gna have so many cards on the market they won't meet sales cause people won't know what to buy thus, creating a huge loss :pt1cable:
