Radeon HD5770 issues.....

Hello....

I purchased a Gigabyte Radeon HD5770 graphics card about 1.5months ago.......at first it was @ 35-40 degree Celcius on idle mode........and around 65 degree Celsius while under 100% GPU Load. But now the idle temp is somewhat 44-46 degree celcius but the 100% workload temperature is about 84-85 (like while stress checking in FurMark).

I tried crysis benchmark with 1280*720 res, 4X AA and Very High Setting........the max temp was 68-70 degree. Now......tell me is there anything wrong with it?

I noticed an anolomy while playing call of duty black ops - i paused the game and went to talk to phone - and when i get back i just quited the game - and after that i was shocked - GPU temp was 84 degree!!!

more specs would help, size of your case etc., open up your case and check your card's fan to see if it is acting in any strange ways and check for excess dust. there is a number of conclusions until more info is provided. thanks.

Hey actually i had a similar problem Arch and i did what joerge said, clean it with those air compressors and that should fix the problem. It did for me anyways! Good luck

Well the ambient temperature of my room is somewhat 30+ degree C.......from Bangladesh. I cleaned the entire PC - and tried to remove dust as much as i can from the GPU using blower. Never opened the cooler though.....
