Installing Graphics Card

I am removing my nividia 9600gt and installing a nividia 250gts. This is my first time installing something into my computer and I think I know how to remove and install graphics card, but do I need to uninstall my current graphic card drivers or can I leave them installed?

EDIT: Using windows vista 64bit if that makes a difference.

Some places I read said you need to and others said you don't need to, so I'm not sure.
